Map of Our Case Study
BLOCK 36 @ C10
Block 36 (the old building School of Communication aka C10) evokes its own brand of presence. Its physical setting at the edge of Lengkok Sastera that once overlooked well-kept verdant lawns and the picturesque distant wooded hills. To some, the ambience that pervades the building is one of nostalgia while others perceive it as a mere a behemoth structure tottering on the edge of disrepair like a dying elepahant. Probably Block 36 is the unique fusion of all these.
Three of us >Mohd Iszuwan B. Idris (95488),
Noor Asma Bt. Mohamad (95515) and
Emma Iivanainen from Tempere University of Technology in Findland is exchange student from Finland. We are from Construction Management and this is one of our project for Conservation (RPK 222). We are together makes this web blog and give all effort to do the search and to get all the information for this task. It makes us to learn how work together and to do the research..and finally we have done!! thanks to our lecturer PM Mohamed Talhah.
Aim to project:to document and show to the general public USM's natural and design heritage.
*so we choose the Block 36 aka C10 (School of Communication) as our case study. That building was built in 1938*
what is CONSERVATION????
Conservation is an ethic of resource use, allocation, and protection. Its primary focus is upon maintaining the health of the natural world: its, fisheries, habitats, and biological diversity. Secondary focus is on materials conservation and energy conservation, which are seen as important to protect the natural world. Those who follow the conservation ethic and, especially, those who advocate or work toward conservation goals are termed conservationists.
